Dutch Water Dreams
Dutch Water Dreams (DWD)
is a a huge rafting and surfing facility in Zoetermeer, Holland.
Their water track is being used for recreational rafting, as well as for professional athletes preparing for the Olympics. Further DWD features Flowrider®,
which are standing waves for surfing or bodyboarding.
Project description
When a customer enters the facility, he gets a wetsuit and a tag.
Along the track, cameras are placed filming the track. When he passes along the
track his WhereNet tag triggers a WherePort. These triggers are captured by our FrameWork
which processes them and sends the necessary commands to the video system. This results in
a personal movie featuring the customer, which can be downloaded from the DWD website.
This feature is unique in its kind and shows the many possibilities with location systems.
This was a very ambitious project with a very short timeframe. Thanks to our FrameWork we
were able to provide our partners (video system, crm/ticketing system ) with an interface
in the early development stage against which they could test their functionality.
