Desclean België NV
is a quarantine and pre-shipment treatment provider in Antwerp.
Since several years, Desclean has been busy developing a system that can reduce the
emission of methyl bromide to zero. In association with VITO in Mol, Desclean has
developed a Recycling And Zero Emission
Module, short RAZEM®, for methyl bromide
recuperation and recycling. RAZEM® is patented by Desclean, and must be protected
against abuse, copying or unauthorized use.
Project description
RAZEM® will be monitored and traced in real time all over the world.
Mechanical parameters of the processes (temperature, pressure, …) along with hours of
operation will be monitored from the premises of Desclean België N.V.
This project, currently in development, is a cooperation between

(providing the monitoring
equipment and management software) and perLocus (providing the identification and
tracking capabilities).
RAZEM® consists of a number of parts, among which RAZEM®-C,
being a steel cartridge containing the recovered gas. To identify the individual
cartridges perLocus equips every cartridge with a RFID-tag. This makes it possible to
immediately show the operator which cartridge he is dealing with, and display the amount
of gas. This decreases the administrative task of the operator and the likeliness of
errors occurring. Besides the identification of the cartridges through RFID, perLocus
equipped RAZEM® with a GPS-module for worldwide localisation.
